Non-Fiction
Last week we spent a lot of time discussing the characteristics of non-fiction. We discussed that non-fiction books are true and you found many interesting facts during your independent reading time. Today please share the most interesting fact you read last week (you can use your reader's notebook). Be sure to include the title of the book you found your fact from.

Last week I read Johnny Appleseed. He planted auppleseeds across the west and made many friends along the way. John Chaupmam died in 1845.

I read The book worm that hatch She was born on June 6,1911 in this house in New Era,Michigan.My father built it in 1903, for his bride.The house was the family home for nine children.For papa until he died in 1956,and for mama until her death in 1973.Our daughter,paula, got me started writing for children.I had to make up stories to get her to eat. I have published more than 25 books.

Last week I read Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. and I learned that he made a speach that all people should be treted fairly.He got killed on 1968 by a white man.
